Biology 1 and Biology 1 Honor Instructor

Prior to teaching, I worked for the YMCA of Greater New Orleans as the Wellness and Sports Director.  I enjoyed my time there and grew a love for our after school program to be able to help students with their work.  This sparked my love for teaching.  I am also the daughter of two educators that have shown me a love for teaching as well.  I also worked with Ascent Health in Monroe and enjoyed my time their working with youth in the area.  I recently left there to begin my teaching career.  

I am married to Lucas Tolar.  My husband is the youth pastor at First West – Fairbanks Campus.  He is also the chaplain for the OPHS football team.  We have a son named Henry, he is a year and a half old and full of energy.  I love supporting my students in what they do.  I want to relate to my students, care for them and show them how great of a purpose they each have in this world.  My hobbies include running, teach group fitness classes, hanging out with friends and family and watching football and basketball.
