About Me

Educational History:

I am a proud 2007 graduate of Ouachita Parish High School. 

In 2011, I gradated from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, La with a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Consumer Sciences Education grades 6-12. 

In 2024, I completed my Master’s in Education from Louisiana State University at Shreveport. 

Degrees and Certifications:

I currently hold a level 2 teaching certificate in the state of Louisiana. 

I currently hold a  ServSafe Food Handler Certification, a ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification, and am a certified ServSafe Proctor. 

Current Position:

I began my teaching career in 2011 in Fredericksburg, Virginia where I taught at Edward E. Drew Middle School for two years. In 2013, I returned home to Monroe to continue my career at the middle school level at Ouachita Junior High. In 2014, I fulfilled my dream of returning ot Ouachita Parish High School as a teacher.

I love FACS and the Ouachita Community. Currently I teach Family and Consumer Science 1 & 2, Child Devlopment, and ServSafe.
