About Me

Educational History:

I graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1992. I then received my paralegal certification, and subsequently, my bachelor’s degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe. The 23-24 school year is my ninth with OPSB.

Degrees and Certifications:

I have a B.S. in Secondary Education, and I am a certified English Language Arts teacher. I am Kami certified and use this tool very often within my class setting. I am also a certified Mentor Teacher, which gives me the opportunity to mentor new teachers who come to teach at OPHS.

Professional Development:

I am a part of the Writing Revolution Think Group.

I am a part of the Guidebook Resource Team.

Family Information:

I have been married to Mr. Wesley since 1999. We have four children and five dogs. Many of our children are grown and have their own families. I have two handsome grandsons and one granddaughter.
